What is a hydro-excavation truck and what can it do? A Hydro-excavation truck or hydro-vac is an industrial vacuum truck used primarily for safe digging and excavation purposes. The operation and purpose of these types of trucks are mainly using high-pressure water to help break up the soil and the vacuum removes the debris from the site into what is called the debris tank, which is mounted on the truck. It allows safe digging around utilities without damaging them.

The combination jet vac truck is similar to the CCTV truck. It is used for clearing sewer lines and breaking up blockages within a sewer.

The CCTV truck has a robotic camera that inspects pipelines and other infrastructure types. The CCTV monitors and detects any changes in the condition of sewer pipelines. The vac trailer is mainly used for smaller job sites or in an area that has limited access to smaller vehicles. Don't be mistaken, this trailer can still remove liquids, and solids from job sites, daylighting and locating underground utilities, and can safely excavate around underground utilities.
